Our “WHY” is not unlike others in our position looking to make an impact in their communities. We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others; what better way to do so, than by doing what we love. Though we cannot take credit for the origination of the idea, as it was brought to us by our partners at Appliance Center, it didn’t take much convincing for everyone on our team to run with this opportunity. We could not pull this off alone, so we reached out to a few local companies who shared our same charitable mindset. Carter Lumber has made a huge impact in our community with many similar home charities, Savage & Associates has “their” foundation and financial experience to make sure this project is a success, and with “This is Home” as their slogan, we knew that 13ABC was the perfect media partner.

Keeping the proceeds local is a mindset we all share. “Doing what we love and knowing it’s impacting our community in such a positive way; just makes us feel good”. When you feel good, people around you feel good, so we are hoping to start a ripple effect, that positively impacts our fellow “Toledo-ans.” As did our Hometown slogan that says. “You’ll do Better in Toledo!” The winning family will receive a brand-new home. The net proceeds from the sale of the tickets will be donated to families in need of care at The ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital and to fund new programs that will benefit children right here in our very own Greater Toledo community. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Savage & Associates Foundation, Inc. to continue their mission of making a difference in the lives of those in our local community. We are asking our “Hometown” of Toledo, Ohio to help support and be a part of changing so many local families’ lives. We look forward to the success of this event in such a positive way.
